I spent last night making martinis and cosmos for this thing the community theatre just started. It’s this Movie and Martini night. They happened to play Victor/Victoria, which I’ve never seen. And I still haven’t even tho I was pretty well told I could watch it. It was pretty lamely attended but it’s such a cute idea that I hope it takes.

The night before I went over to MP and Luke’s for dinner. Luke is hell-bent on setting me up with some “hot guy”. But I hate hot guys. I don’t want to suck my stomach in, I want to analyze Rusty Brown and eat Taco Bell and have a good laugh.

Finally got the concrete re-done in my basement. I look forward to a weekend of painting. I guess now I can finally break down and get a washing machine. It’s funny how home ownership changes what excites you in life. Like my dad finally fixed my closet to have two clothes bars instead of one, and it’s like a fantasy. I’m wallowing in the joy of having a non-retarded closet.

I feel very tragic about it. I think it’s possibly as bad as being a Big Will Farrel Fan, but the other night I finally broke down and watched “Garden State” and between that and all the Scrubs re-runs that are perfectly timed to neatly cushion real shows and a couple of things I’ve read lately I think I might be developing a liking for Zach Braff. Fucking kill me.

I downloaded these pictures and then IMMEDIATELY erased the card. And then I couldn’t find the pictures and I searched and searched and then in a moment of heightened panic broke down and called David who gave the world’s most obvious solution and I found them. Bitches.

So I pretty much spent the weekend reading, "She Got Up Off the Couch" by Haven Kimmel, and I HATE when I do that. I am always speed reading good books and then I finish them like I'm in some kind of read-race and then I have nothing left.

Anyway I just went to her site to see what she looks like now since all you see in that book or in "Zippy" is her ugly baby pictures, and her schedule of events is on there and apparently she was at Malaprop's on Friday. Like the Friday that just happened two fucking seconds ago. Fuck.

It took us two nights, but my mom and me finally got thru Badlands . It’s definitely the most boring movie you’ll ever love. Actually the fact that it’s painfully mundane adds to it’s charm. And nothing beat’s Sissy Spacek’s freckles.

Also I made a Mu Shu pork casserole from last months Real Simple. I’ve been on the case to find a casserole that doesn’t involve Campbell’s soup and frozen vegetables. I thought it was fantastic but I think I was the biggest fan.

Last night I finally learned how to play Cranium. I have actually owned that game for 2 years now and have never played. It seems like all of my game playing friends are out of town now.

But my neighbours had people over to play games. I can see how Cranium could be really fun, except that it’s a little babyish and it’s a slow moving barge of a game. I hate when there’s so much time in between turns.
