This Saturday I involved myself with my old frenemy, Jage. So instead of disturbing you with those details I will discuss my nephew’s party.

Neill’s friend is opening a coffee shop and he wanted to test out various bakers to find someone to supply his shop. So he orders this totally insane amount of crap for testing and brings it all over to my parent’s for DR’s party. The spread is totally insane and looks like its for 80 people. I think there were about 8 of us.

Calorie Olympics

The picture doesn't completely do it justice. Like there were 8 kinds of croissants, and 20 kinds of cheesecake to name two. I cut it all up and presented it, and naturally tasted every single thing. On a Jager stomach. Suffice it to say I was in bed by 8:00 and it was a struggle to stay up that late.

I went on my first date when I was 11. His name was Malcolm and we ate dinner at the Greenery ( this fancy old people restaurant) with his mother and then we caught John Denver in concert. His mom was nice enough to let us hold hands during the show. Its rare that I see her to this day that she doesn’t bring up the fact that I finished Malcolm’s plate and ordered the filet. ( If I wasn’t a fat kid it probably wouldn’t be annoying).

He was pretty well supposed to be my first kiss, but that didn’t end up working out. We went to middle school together during my brief foray into private school…and I went back to public school, and anyway he got shipped off to boarding school. I didn’t see him again until years later when I waited tables at the Depot and we were about 18 and he was in town from college and stopped in to say hi.

So I see his mom a lot b/c she is a volunteer for or on the board of about everything. And she mentioned a little while ago that he moved back with his wife and 2 kids and even tho he knocked that girl up everyone was real happy that they were home and he seemed to be doing a lot “better”, and I should really give him a call. And I see his dad all over the place and he's the coolest nicest dad in the world, and he brags that Malcolm is doing whatever and how cute the babies are and I really should give him a call.

And because I’m a lazy fuckhead who doesn’t need anymore married friends I never bother to call b/c it might interrupt 1 minute of Law and Order.

And anyway I’m going to his funeral today. He went out to his dad’s cabin in Nantahalia ( his dad’s a surgeon and I’ll never forget cleaning fish out there while his dad muttered something about how cleaning fish is not far off from surgery, but humans stink more when you cut them open) which was the coolest place in the world and blew his head off.

So SE sent me this movie review of Factory Girl. It doesn't exactly shock me that this movie is a piece of shit, because the movies like this that you want so much to be cool are usually pieces of shit. But the best part of this is that Brigid Berlin ( notice pic he uses...classic!) is played by some skinny playboy bitch. I'd kill to hear what she has to say on that subject.

On Wednesday, Evan sent me roses to the office. Which was helluva sweet. It caused quite the stir too. I was mysterious and let them eat their heart’s out. I just got moved to sales full time this week. One of the sales guys put a note on them : Welcome to sales! Love (salesmen listed).

Earlier this week MP and Luke picked up a few bottles of this sparkling sake. It was pretty good ( really sweet ) but the important thing was the amazing packaging. I plan on stealing all of the bottles out of their recycling bin.

Saturday is Evan’s birthday. One of his friends heavy metal bands is playing at a strip club. (Excapades for those of you who might care). So obvs this is what he wants to do for his special day. I am taking him out tonite so I can avoid the whole nasty business. I am afraid of who I will fall in love with in there.
