On Monday a guy I went to highschool/church with had a meeting with my Controller, so we grabbed a beer after to catch up. While hanging out at Scully’s a different girl I went to highschool/church with happened by and joined us. So we had a baby highschool reunion. B/c we’re not best friends or anything we were all in touch with different people, so there was some very well rounded gossip.

After, I was on my way home and a punk kid asked me for a ride. In a move that is exactly opposite my usual moves I said ok. Mainly b/c I had been drinking, and secondly b/c I’m really working on my karma right now. Well and also he was a punk. I’m not nervous of punks. Anyway he didn’t knife me, but he did leave a dirt explosion all over my passenger side. It’s finally raining which is great, except that I can’t vacuum my damn car yet.

Last night when I got home from work in the pouring rain I had TWO packages. One was my Cringe book by Sarah Brown, and the was my art from Steve Keene. I don’t know if you’ve heard of this guy, but you send him like 20 bucks and he mails you whatever art he feels like mailing. I got 6 big panels on chipboard. It’s an exciting surprise lemme tell you.

Today I’m having lunch with a different girl that I haven’t seen since highschool. Facebook is a blessing and a curse. I’m real excited to see the girl today, but I’m also getting friended by all these random people who I’d frankly rather not know about my movie and book preferences. And is it just me or is Facebook completely unsatisfying? Sure, I haven’t gotten really interested since the Friendster days, but Myspace at the beginning was far more titillating. I guess I can’t care what kind of drink applications you’ve added.

I'm in a biggest loser contest with Donna, McKay, and Christine (you know, Stephen's wife). So far I really don't feel I'm losing in direct proportion to my suffering. Today I had a bagel all fuckit style. I am starting to hope that maybe I'm not fat because of my slothful lifestyle filled to the brim with beer and frozen pizza, but that I might have a thyroid problem. The fatty holy grail.

I went last weekend on the party bus to see the Village People and KC and the Sunshine band.

KC and the Sunshine band

Amazingly I didn't meet a man. But more amazingly is that it wasn't half as gay as I expected. It could've been any band.

The show was at Biltmore and it was fun to picnic on the front lawn. Seeing a show at Biltmore is so pretty it really doesn't matter who's playing.

The Village People didn't show.

The Village People didn't show. But that's ok. I was too smashed to care at that point. We ended up bussing over to this bbq shack and bar where I had far too much fun + vodka. Had to scrape myself there in the morning b/c I left my debit card. The worst feeling in the world is getting in your car while your eyeballs are melting and your blood is made of mustard to go retrieve a debit card in the blazing sun.
